International Aeronautical Congress [External Link]

Organized by the International Aeronautical Federation, this international event is one of the largest space conferences in the world. The 2024 IAC will take place in Milan, Italy.

Space Generation Congress [External Link]

Sponsored by the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, this international conference connects thousands of young professionals from around the world. An official conference of the Space Generation Advisory Council. The 2024 SGC will take place in Milan, Italy.

National Space Society: International Space Development Conference [External Link]

Sponsored by the National Space Society, the International Space Development Conference offers educational and professional development opportunities for everyone. In 2023, the ISDC sponsored the first Indigenous Space session in the world. The 2025 conference will be held in Orlando, FL.

Space4Youth Competition [External Link]

A collaboration between The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), this essay competition sends winners to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. The 2024 theme is "Governance of outer space activities: securing space sustainability for future generations." Winners will be featured on UNOOSA and meet U.S. representatives of the space sector. Deadline: 2025 Essay Dates TBD.

NASA BIG Idea Challenge [External Link]

Teams of graduate or undergraduate students whose college or university is officially affiliated with their state Space Grant can win cash grants in this national competition. The 2024 theme is "Inflatable Systems for Lunar Operations" but is not restricted to lunar habitats. Deadline: 2025 Competition Dates TBD.

NASA Gateways to Blue Skies: Clean Aviation Energy Competition [External Link]

Test your aviation lifecycle knowledge and abilities in this multi-disciplinary collegiate competition, whose goal is to support clean aviation energy by the 2050s. Teams from Minority Serving Institutions are highly encouraged to apply. Note: U.S. citizens only. Deadline: 2025 Competition Dates TBD.

NASA LUNABOTICS Challenge [External Link]

Learn about the NASA Systems Engineering process by designing and building a “Lunabot” to advance lunar mission capabilities. In addition to monetary prizes, your team could be a part of the Artemis Moon Mission. Deadline: TBD.
