What does space look like in New Mexico? How does someone navigate this dynamic landscape? Join the SCOPE-NM Fall 2024 Cohort and explore the fascinating world of space in New Mexico, and beyond! As a Student Delegate, you become a space leader at your institution and improve accessibility to space resources for your community.
This volunteer program is designed for students with little to no knowledge about space. All prospective and declared majors, and educational institutions statewide, are accepted. You do not need to have previous leadership, community, and space affiliation or experience to apply!
Please note that this program is in English.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Must be a *high school senior, undergraduate student, or recent graduate (1-2 years) of an accredited New Mexico educational institution;
Must have reliable internet connection for at least 2-3 hours per month;
Understand that this is an unpaid, volunteer role.
*If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent / guardian sign a waver acknowledging your voluntary participation in the program.
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
Participate in monthly workshops through the entire semester;
Contribute to the official SCOPE-NM website with new and accurate resources;
Get paired 1:1 with a mentor from the space sector;
Gain a deeper understanding of space activity in New Mexico and beyond;
Exposure to employers and leaders in the space industry;
Better inform your future education and career decisions;
Collaborate with other students from across the state;
Be part of a truly unique, out-of-this world project!
